Cinnamon Knots

I do enjoy the blog Half Baked Harvest. Her photos are always amazing, and the recipes are equally good.

This week on Facebook, another blog I follow, What's Cooking Italian Cuisine, shared a post from Half Baked Harvest. I was planning my baking for tonight when I saw the post. It was for Cinnamon Knots. I knew I had to make these.

The dough was amazing! It took no time to raise. I did not have the rapid-raising yeast, so I used the recipe suggestion for using Active Dry Yeast:

  1. Mix 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) of active dry yeast with the warm milk and the brown sugar.

  2. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly and foamy on top.

  3. Add the flour and follow the directions for the remainder of the recipe.

When I rolled out the dough, it smelled so darn good!

The results look promising. I maybe should have pulled them out of the oven 2 minutes earlier, but the icing covers a lot of missed steps.
