Yeah!! Autumn is here. Okay, I could have worn shorts and a tee shirt to work today but last night I was checking home heating oil prices so it will feel like autumn pretty soon.
I saw the recipe for Apple Crumb Cake on Smitten Kitchen about a week ago. I was waiting patiently for Friday night to make this.
Really easy recipe. The aroma from the oven was intoxicating. I can not wait for tomorrow morning to try this. Yes, I did have a taste of the crumb topping!!!
The shortbread. Cinnamon and Pecan. The recipe is from Barefoot in the Kitchen. Not bad but not quite as cinnamony as I was hoping. I cut this recipe in half and used a 9" cake pan.
